CLUTCH KALAH
Born in 2005, Mikalah Z. Freeman grew up in Suffolk, VA. where she discovered her talent of rapping. She chose “Clutch Kalah” as her stage name, influenced by her reputation of being known for always coming through in the clutch. Freeman had a strong local following and her powerful presence on social media, which led her to a meeting with the CEO of Thompson’s Music Group, in her home city of Suffolk, VA. This brought her to sign a recording contract and eventually worked on her debut single, Don’t Want No Smoke, released on April 2, 2021. Freeman experienced a successful marketing and promotional campaign, including landing a spot on the DRT Top 150. Set on her focus and determination, especially being eager to make her mark in this male driven industry, Freeman released her second single in 2022, entitled, R!CH $H!T With new material currently in the works, this 17-year-old is ready for the next level, and the sky’s her limit!
